Artist Statement…

Initially a work dealing with a physical instillation involving the relationship between sound and how it combines and reacts with more stereotypically ‘physical’ materials.
The resolved work is grounded much more in the practical aesthetics rather than the initial, more practical based concept but still deals fundamentally with the contrast and combinations of the two conflicting materials…

Need some new, bigger speakers, make a new armiture, and find a way to make the latex look better.
Think its at the very early stages…Like the idea and how the set up could look but aware that the outcome may be lacking…The work may be more succesfull if it was the documentation and ‘performance’. perhaps in video form, of the action as apose to a ‘final piece’…

Not really a great week tbh, it was only four days and I felt a bit lost all week…
The idea was to draw for four days with the idea of making the thing you are drawing…but not actually drawing it…so drawing ‘constructively’…
Anyway, it kinda stayed in the sketchbook the whole week, as was more or less the point if I recall.
My idea kinda ended up being merging buildings, or aspects of them, bits I liked and making one big’un…
Was kind of auto-pilot tbh…the less said about the week the better…
